Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Corporate Communications team at Arthrex is growing and we are actively searching for a Intranet Design and Program Specialist to support creative content, design and overall user experience projects and enhancements for the global employee intranet. This role is highly collaborative and requires strong visual communication design skills and the ability to complete a variety of tasks, while exhibiting creativity, initiative and analytical thinking. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Digital design layout and graphics for the global employee intranet platform, including news stories and homepage campaign features that align with the company’s corporate brand and style.
  • Coordinate department requests for new intranet informational sites; provide creative execution and ongoing training and support to site owners.
  • Support the functional enhancement implementation process for the global intranet business team, ensuring backlog items as well as future business needs are addressed and implemented. 
  • Assist with presentations and reports for the global intranet governance board meetings, leadership updates, etc.
  • Coordinate campaign deliverables that communicate and promote various intranet-related initiatives such as feedback surveys and platform enhancements to employees globally.
  • Monitor analytics to gain valuable insights and improve intranet readership, adoption and engagement.
  • Monitor global compliance with intranet policies and processes to maintain overall quality control on content, messaging and design, as well as a consistent user/brand experience.
  • Maintain a good understanding of industry best practices and new software functionality that can add business value and continuously improve the end user experience.
  • Assist with various project management functions, including building campaigns and process visuals for the team.
  • Serve cross-functional roles within the Communications department as needed or assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in communications, marketing, business or related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Strong understanding of the capabilities and functionality of SharePoint for intranet applications
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Experience in web programming using standard HTML/CSS practices preferred

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Experience creating high-volume, high-quality digital content
  • Experience creating user-centered designs for digital products such as websites and mobile apps
  • Proven technical expertise and successful project management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A quick learner who is highly organized and able to jump into projects and own them in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented with strong initiative and the ability to be resourceful and handle multiple stakeholders with changing priorities

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Macintosh or PC platform
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
