We are seeking a Temporary Field Operations Loaner Material Handler I for our Torrance, CA locationIndividual will be responsible for the receipt, sterilization, and prioritization of surgery-used loaner instrument kits.  In addition, will coordinate the transactions and movements of the loaner sets through the operations processes to ensure accurate assembly and repackaging.

The ideal candidate has experience with material handling in the medical device industry.  Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, highly preferred.  Ability to quickly adapt with changing priorities, good communication skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform activities related to the receiving, cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of loaner devices.
  • Assist with the proper processing of loaner sets and associated sterilization processes and validations in accordance to procedures.
  • Prepare devices for review as part of sterilization and/or cleaning validation.
  • Provide assistance with cleaning and sterilization process monitoring activities

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work on a variety of items daily.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply English language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of team members effectively in a collaborative work environment.
  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.

 

Preferred:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Experience with material and handling and processing working in a medical device industry  or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with SAP
