Arthrex is actively seeking a Sr II Site Reliability Engineer who works directly with the Software Engineering departments within Arthrex to provide engineering support to development, maintenance and optimization of the software development environment and infrastructure, build, integration, cybersecurity and software development process.  Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills will be essential for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support management and deployment of multiple products and infrastructure.
  • Research, assess, and implement new technologies to improve infrastructure and automation processes.
  • Responsible for the customer experience from “go live” on, ensuring uptime, upgrades, and performance are flawless for multiple locations worldwide.
  • Monitors, resolves, and/or manages all incoming incidents and is responsible for resolving or prioritizing unresolved issues and escalating to the appropriate product teams, software development engineers, network engineers, integration engineers, and others. Occassional after hours and weekend time may be required during escalations.
  • Develop and maintain support and troubleshooting documentation to reduce the Mean Time to Repair and improve site supportability.
  • Works closely with other teams including product security to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Remain current with ISO/FDA standards and internal quality assurance policies. Support audits as the process subject matter expert.
  • May supervise junior level engineers and contractors.

  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.  Full knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

Discretion/ Latitude

  • Work is performed without direct supervision. Participates in determining goals of assignments. Works closely within TechOps and with other teams to accomplish objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the skills required in the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer I role.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions to problems posed by the software development and TechOps team.
  • Keeps informed on emerging technologies and recommends process improvements accordingly.
  • Assist in supervising contractors and junior level engineers.
  • Ability to create and maintain internal and external documentation for both TechOps and other software development teams.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of an infrastructure project.

 

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including developing and managing production systems required.
  • Minimum of 4 years cloud experience required.
  • Proven experience leading projects required.
