The Repair Operations Project Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to increase productivity, reduce costs, and serve as a liaison between business departments in addition to leading, overseeing, and ensuring the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects assigned within the Global Service & Repair division of Arthrex. This includes adhering to the methodology, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure efficient and effective execution and delivery of projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates small and medium-scale projects and programs with full project life cycle management – including budgeting, large event/training and strategic planning coordination.
  • Presents and is accountable/responsible for the success of projects within the scope of the overall program.
  • Coordinates project meetings and creates project meeting notes for team review.
  • Identify areas of improvement and manage process improvement projects to support innovation and remain competitive within the industry.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, and conferring with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculates time requirements, identifying and sequencing project elements, and discreet tasks.
  • Define the roadmap of projects and initiatives for the enablement of new capabilities.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, requesting, and allocating resources as necessary.
  • Coordinates with interdepartmental managers for the availability, assignment, and accountability of downstream resources and technology
  • Monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving obstacles.
  • Work with cross-functional team members and managers to ensure enterprise-level projects are successful.
  • Develop and manage internal project plans, monitor performance, and report status to leadership and key stakeholders against established metrics and constraints.
  • Capture business objectives to transform into strategic business capabilities by developing and defining potential solutions.
  • Up to 15% travel required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Medical Device experience preferred.
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure is preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools.
  • Prior experience leading or participating in enterprise platform system deployment.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.

Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level required.

Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to build, nurture, and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization from IT staff to senior/executive management.

Effective task management and problem-solving skills.

Works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Knowledge of several business functions and related software applications such as SAP or Workfront preferred.

Understanding the major functions of a global organization is preferred.

Project Management (PMP) certification is required.

Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
