Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. We are actively searching for a Facilities Project Manager to provide management oversight for all phases of renovations, remodels, and construction projects, including project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, contracts, safety management, and space planning and allocation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with departments and business units to develop project objectives.
  • Act as liaison between Arthrex, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and municipalities.
  • Set performance requirements and project milestones.
  • Bring about optimum utilization of labor, resources, and space.
  • Track and control construction schedules.
  • Provide project status reports.
  • Maintain adherence to budgetary guidelines and quality and safety standards.
  • Plan and allocate space to create a user-friendly environment and maximum utilization.
  • Ensure project documents are complete and accurate.
  • Maintain up-to-date drawings and seating charts.
  • Monitor field activity and staffing for adherence to contract and billing verification.
  • May supervise direct reports.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction fields required
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering degree or experience preferred
  • Education, experience or training in project management and construction required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) training or certificate desired
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising facilities projects of increasing complexity preferred
  • Must have experience with computer systems
  • Must have experience with permitting, building codes, and life safety codes

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/ Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Thorough knowledge of construction and safety standards. 

Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and preferred

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Proficient software skills: Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/database, research tools, internet search tools.

Must have advanced ACAD and MS Project experience. Adobe Workfront / Procore experience preferred

 

Reasoning Ability:

Must be detail oriented, organized, able to learn and follow procedures and processes accurately, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate in order to achieve efficiency.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate ideas and issues (both verbally and written) effectively to other team members and management.
