Photography Intern

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Photography Team in Naples, Florida, is responsible for providing high-quality images for both internal and external uses.  We are searching for a Photography Intern to cover photo assignments, provide post-production support and serve as a photo assistant on commercial photo shoots.  This position requires an intermediate level of skill with event and portrait photography, basic understanding of strobe lighting and a willingness to learn. 

This internship will run from May 2023 – August 2023. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Main Objective:

Cover photo assignments, provide post-production support and serve as a photo assistant on commercial photo shoots. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Corporate Photography Team with daily tasks including but not limited to event photography, portraiture, and group portraits.                                

• Photo Processing with Adobe Lightroom

• Photo Retouching with Photoshop    

• This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:

• Progress towards a college degree in a related field required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
• Intermediate level of skill with event and portrait photography preferred.
• Basic understanding of strobe lighting preferred. 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
