Arthrex Inc. is actively searching for a Sr. Lab Operations Associate to support lab, training, and functions in-house and at off-site events. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Arthrex product line.
  2. Organize and conduct surgeon training events.
  3. Provide non-clinical technical expertise in conjunction with the Clinical Specialists.
  4. Perform lab set-up, breakdown, and cleansing of lab equipment.
  5. Responsible for inventory management, which includes ordering new products, and replacing missing, damaged, and obsolete components.
  6. Service and support all Arthrex capital equipment in the accompanying O.R. if applicable. 
  7. Full understanding and implementation of contamination protocol.
  8. Ensure that the lab facility represents Arthrex as the leader in the industry.
  9. Maintains inventory of products and associated lab and exhibit items.  Tracks usage and forecasts and orders as needed to support corporate schedule.
  10. Develops and maintains lab and exhibit checklists and reference materials.
  11. Responsible for set-up and clean-up/disinfecting of in-house and off-site labs after attendance. Observes all blood-borne pathogen and related safety procedures.
  12. Required to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.

 

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • BS preferred;  Having related lab experience is a plus.  
  • Able to show progression towards an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
  • Experience in the orthopedic industry preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to logistically manage a lab environment independently. Aptitude to teach and develop orthopedic training skills.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PCs and have a command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word plus any additional communications equipment as needed.
