With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Learning & Development team in Naples, Florida is responsible for supporting the development of knowledge, skills, and abilities for employees to successfully achieve their full potential within the company. We are searching for an Intern pursuing an Instructional Design & Ed Tech degree to support the Learning & Development team. Under general supervision a successful candidate will work with various departments to enter e-Learning courses and classroom training into the Learning Management System (LMS).  They will provide administrative support for the LMS including answering employee inquiries and testing to ensure courses and the system are providing a positive user experience. They will work with subject matter experts to research, design, build, and deliver training assets as needed on a variety of topics as directed by the business need within Arthrex. Training assets could include instructor-led training (ILT), virtual, eLearning, resource, and user guides.

 

Main Objective:

Support the Arthrex Learning & Development team with learning management system tasks necessary to deploy learning to employees and assist with the design and development of a variety of learning assets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support with the deployment of training in the LMS.
  • Support various Instructional Design (e-learning) projects including, but not limited to, LMS e-learning design for global employees. 
  • Design Instructional Design intake process.
  • Develop job aids/guides for L&D initiatives.
  • Revamp learning boosters for ILT.
  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Progress towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field required, preferably in Instructional Design & Education Technology. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
  • Knowledge of adult education principles preferred.
  • Technical writing skills a plus.
  • Audio editing software experience a plus.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
  • Learning system (SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, etc.) and technology (Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop, Storyline, etc.) experience preferred.
