Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and recommend enterprise cloud solutions, upgrades, and services for streamlining and system improvements.
  • Complete IT operational tasks, project tasks, as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate, updated documentation while performing essential job duties including recording changes and updates made to systems or processes.
  • Lead and mentor other analysts with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes.

 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the architecture and design of infrastructure solutions and methodologies for both cloud and traditional solution models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and improve a cloud strategy and cloud adoption framework.
  • Evaluate projects and cloud technologies from an enterprise perspective, ensuring alignment with business needs, IT roadmaps, architecture, security standards and internal controls.
  • Establish and maintain cloud architecture, tools, and processes to support an enterprise IT cloud infrastructure supporting legacy and cloud native functionalities residing in the public cloud.
  • Provide leadership and support in migrating existing enterprise application architectures to cloud-native architectures.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and workgroups, promoting collaboration and innovation among team members from various functional areas to drive successful outcomes for cloud-related projects.
  • Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 1, 2, 3.
  • Lead IT projects and project teams
  • Liaison with vendors, partners, and external resources on solution architecture, development, and support of cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ability to train and educate other staff on technical capabilities and associated processes within the public cloud
  • Subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple cloud-centric infrastructure solutions.

 

Specialized Skills

  • Active and current computer infrastructure-centered certifications in cloud technologies required. (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
  • Knowledge of architecting, building, and supporting of cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, XaaS required.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with at least two leading cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc. is preferred, in-depth knowledge of at least a single provider is required.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments is required.
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) is required.
  • Experience creating policies and procedures relating to public cloud consumption and governance in an enterprise IT ecosystem is required.
  • Experience with automation capabilities in the public cloud (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) required.
  • Experience working closely with software development or application teams to support their applications is required.
  • Experience working with AWS/Azure landing zone concepts is preferred.
  • Experience implementing and working with infrastructure as code is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP running on IaaS infrastructure in the public cloud is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job is preferred.

 

Education/

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 12 + years of relevant work experience required
  • 5 + years of enterprise experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure
