Audio-Visual Support Event Technician

Main Objective: 

Set up and operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment for events on and offsite.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for setup, operation, and strike of audio, video, and lighting equipment during events, studio productions, and tradeshow exhibits 
• Selects and coordinates technical equipment rental and labor used during off-site events or video productions 
• Maintains a positive relationship with meeting hosts and planners through effective communication  
• Monitors events and check in on them throughout the day 
• Meets with meeting requestor on-site to ensure their needs are met, and equipment is set up and working correctly.  
• Responsible for the routine preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment 
• Responsible for level one user support and troubleshooting for all the audio-visual equipment in the meeting and conference rooms around the Arthrex campus as well as off-site labs 
• Some travel is required for select offsite events and tradeshow exhibits. 

Education and Experience:  

• High school education required 
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working in event production or related audio-visual field required 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

• Experience with digital audio mixing consoles, wired and wireless microphones, graphic and parametric equalizers, compressors, gates, and audio effects processors. 
• Advanced understanding of audio signal flow and routing. 
• Experience configuring and operating projection and LED screen equipment and video routing/switching equipment.
• Effective communication and customer service skills   

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.  Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office products
