Main Objective:  Product Marketing Manager position is responsible for marketing of CE and IR in Arthrex Korea and supports the medical education department and other departments to achieve strategic business goals. 

 

CE & IR product marketing encompasses providing marketing, technical and product training expertise to address the changing needs of distributors and healthcare practitioners (HCPs).  It is also essential to manage proper product (Life time) maintenance in field that have been sold to customers through continued developing and managing ‘Service & Repair’ polices and strategies.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Creating overall CE & IR product strategy as part of Arthrex Korea business plan that includes market analysis
  • Responsible for CE & IR product life cycle management for all introduced product lines with appropriate product information to supply chain and customer service.
  • Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and marketing strategies, sales forecasting, new product launch, and manages mature product through phase-out.
  • Conducts market research and identifies and tracks market trends and provides competition analysis.
  • Closely cowork and support Int’l Synergy Product Marketing group to align with Global marketing strategies and achieve objectives.
  • Establish proper roles and duties on ‘Service and Repair’ position and provide all needed support to provide superior quality service to our customers. 
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments such as sales & marketing, med-ed, finance, supply chain/customer service, RA/QA, etc., to develop and provide solutions meeting customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for products.
  • Coordinates CE & IR product launches with regulatory affairs, med ed, supply chain, customer service, and distribution channels.
  • Provides financial and technical justification for CE & IR product selection and definition.
  • Participates in key sales situations for CE & IR products.
  • Provides sales support activities including technical expertise and training to distributors and HCPs.
  • Monitors progress of CE & IR product sales in product line markets.
  • Maintains communications and contacts including global CE & IR product marketing managers to collect and analyze technical, financial, and sales information for product lines.
  • Defines and coordinates marketing events and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Over 50% travel required to perform duties.
  • Organizing and participates on marketing events such as medical congresses booth activities
  • Provide proper training, guide and support to product sub-ordinates(team members) to develop them strong marketer(s)

 

People Management and Development:

Be responsible for development and management of sub-ordinates

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in business related field or engineering preferred.
  • Native level proficiency in Korean and advanced proficiency in speaking and writing English required.
  • Product life cycle management knowledge and experience required.
  • Understanding of all functions involved in development, production, and marketing of product required.
  • Expert knowledge of surgical techniques (specific to product category) in orthopedics and/or arthroscopy preferred.
  • 10 + years’ experience in surgical orthopedics product marketing preferred.
