Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a Warehouse Optimization and Industrial Engineer to provide project management oversight for process optimization projects as well as all phases of renovations, remodels, and construction projects, including project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, contracts, safety management, and space planning and allocation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work with a cross-funtional team to drive process optimization projects following safety and compliance standards. 

  • Maintain warehouse drawings and documentation as it relates to facilities & space planning. 

  • Maintain robust documentation providing full history of facility changes for audits, future projects, etc.  

  • Act as liaison between operations, IT and facilities as it relates to infrastructure and process changes. 

  • Manage construction projects from new construction to interior build-out projects. 

  • Work with departments and business units to develop project objectives. 

  • Act as liaison between Arthrex, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and municipalities. 

  • Bring about optimum utilization of labor, resources, and space. 

  • Track and control project schedules and provide status reports. 

  • Maintain adherence to budgetary guidelines and quality and safety standards. 

  • Plan and allocate space to create a user-friendly environment and maximum efficiency. 

  • Monitor field activity and staffing for adherence to project contract and billing verification. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Industrial engineering degree or background preferred 

  • Education, experience or training in project management required  

  • Must have experience with warehouse and enterprise systems 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus 

  • Process and facility optimization project management experience preferred 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising projects of increasing complexity preferred 

  • Previous experience leading a team preferred  

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/ Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

  • Thorough knowledge of construction and safety standards.   

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

  • Proficient software skills: Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/database, research tools, internet search tools. 
  • Must have advanced SAP, ACAD, and MS Project experience.WorkFront project management software experience preferred.
