Inventory Control and Management Intern

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Arthrex Logistics Center in Fort Myers, Florida contains over 14k different parts and is the primary fulfillment center for the company.  We pick and ship over 40k pieces to our domestic customers every day.  In addition, we ship to over 60 countries globally.  We are searching for an Intern pursuing a Supply Chain or Warehouse Operations degree to support the Inventory Control Team at ALC. The successful candidate will assist in the creation and implementation of multiple initiatives and tools for placement of material for picking as well as maximizing available space in the warehouse. 

This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Physical relocation of product for optimal picking efficiency based on frequency and volume data.

• Investigate and promote new technologies and equipment for maximizing available storage space.

• Researching and documenting best practices for management of material in a high mix, high volume fulfillment environment.

• Design opportunities for consolidation of slower moving product.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or Industrial Engineering  (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point).
• Previous experience with an ERP or MRP program  preferred.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
