We are looking to hire a Pre-package Coordinator.  This individual is responsible for assisting department supervisors in monitoring materials or items passing through the system and workflow to ensure the production schedule is met. The individual will also support personnel in the following areas: prioritizing and assigning work orders. This is a 3rd shift position Sunday- Thursday 10:00 pm-06:30 am

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Receive and review work orders from the Schedulers, order required components from other warehouse locations for the Work Orders in a timely manner, and verify that all components on the Work Order are in stock and that revisions are current.

· Work Order schedule distribution and shift setup. Coordinate the assignment of Work Orders according to the router and assign to prepackaging personnel based on schedule priority.

· Monitor daily activities of department employees and assist with employee reviews.

· Train staff in performing ERP and/or manufacturing system functions.

· Conduct and participate in shift launches and shift handoff’s pertaining to the prepackaging department.

· Ensures the DHR (Device History Record) is complete and accurate, including all approvals, prior to forwarding the Work Order kit for further processing.

· Troubleshoot material issues which include Warehouse Inventory, Work Order material issuance etc.

· Ensure that components and kits are processed in accordance with the production schedule and/or expedite list in a timely manner by working with cross functional departments.

· Review daily work order output logs.

· Review all work orders in Pending location daily and work with scheduler, buyers to resolve pending issues.

· Notify Supervisor of any production, safety, or performance issues as they arise.

· Perform Nonconformance rework; prioritize pending work orders by coordinating with cross functional departments.

· Complete material transactions and reconciliations in ERP and/or manufacturing systems ensuring all specified prepackaging Work Center operations are complete and closed.

· Initiate maintenance or IT work order ticket to resolve any equipment issues needed.

· Reconcile material from work order when shortage or other issues arises from post prepackaging operation.

· Performs daily walk through of all prepackaging and label generation areas ensuring area is clean and organized, all materials, bins, staging racks, etc. are properly labeled, and there are no safety hazards present. Corrects issues upon discovery.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred

· 2 years of previous manufacturing/Inventory control and/or leadership role experience preferred

· Previous experience or exposure to medical device or other regulated manufacturing processes is desired

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

· Indi Must have the ability to interpret a Bill of Material (BOM) and prepare materials as specified on the Bill of Material or Transfer Order.

· Must possess knowledge of basic warehousing concepts and an understanding of the importance of accurate inventory counts and material pull from specified storage locations.

· General warehouse, order picking, inventory control, and cycle counting knowledge.

· Ability to navigate MQ1(or other document management systems), Agile and ERP systems independently

· Conceptual understanding of Kanban, Replenishment.

· Requires solid computer knowledge (Windows/ERP/Manufacturing systems applications) for material issuance, inventory tracking and control, and completing MES transactions.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

· Label dispensers, thermal transfer printers, label counters, weigh count scales, bag sealers, office printers/scanners, Intermec barcode scanners, laminar flow hoods, personal computers, vision inspection systems and software.

· Requires basic computer knowledge (Windows applications) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team

members and management. Ability to clearly and legibly write and record data and information as required by procedures.
