This job is based in Seattle, Washington, however, remote work in other locations in the territory, ideally near a major metropolitan airport, will be considered.

The successful candidate will build relationships with key customers, sales agencies, and internal departments to help drive our strategies and continued market growth. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills along with three years or more of related experience and a bachelor’s degree are essential for this position. The targeted cash compensation package (Base, Commissions and Bonus) for this position is $150,000 to $300,000. There is potential to exceed this amount based on experience and performance in the role. In addition to a generous 401k program, Arthrex contributes to a non-qualified retirement plan funded entirely by Arthrex on your behalf after one year of employment.

 

Main Objective:

The Extremities & Trauma Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Extremities & Trauma product sales performance, training, and other activities with the sales force, surgeons, and accounts within his/her respective region.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Key Account Development (Hospital/Surgeon). Work closely with agency/sales representative and sales management to uncover and close opportunities critical to the success of the Extremities & Trauma Business.
  • Support Product Development team by working closely in surgery with existing customers and identifying new surgeon consultants.
  • Build relationships with major Ortho and Podiatric centers regionally.
  • Provide educational/sales support at national/regional VIP labs, Arthrex labs, training centers and major tradeshows and regional Road Shows.
  • Liaison between product development and sales team in developing new foot/ ankle and extremity & trauma products.
  • Communicate procedural expertise and competitive market knowledge to foot/ ankle and extremity & trauma Product Team.
  • Educate and train sales representatives and managers on new and existing products, surgical techniques, and sales tactics.
  • Coordinate product training at all levels (from residency and fellowships to attending surgeon level).
  • Provide assistance with product and prototype testing.
  • Provide updates on competitive foot/ ankle and extremity & trauma products and procedures and input on strategies to combat competition.
  • Recommend ideas and promotions for increasing sales of new and existing foot/ ankle and extremity & trauma products.
  • Work with Senior Regional Sales Manager in formulating and distributing annual foot/ ankle and extremity & trauma quotas.
  • Travel up to 75% annually out of local area.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Arthrex, Arthrex agency, foot/ ankle and/or extremity & trauma, sales management and/or product sales experience required.
  • Foot/ankle and extremity & trauma product experience is a plus.

 

 Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Willing to work with cadaver specimens.
  • Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results. 
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Strong relationship building skills desired.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Microsoft Office, PC and various and specialized software. Cognos experience a plus.
