The successful candidate will have two years experience in warehousing and inventory control  A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with vendors for chemical deliveries and shipments
  • Assist EH&S with chemical response training
  • Assist EH&S maintain MSDS/SDS systems and process in Agile
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in chemical processes
  • Support emergency action program-including fire, chemical spill, and weather related emergencies
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of departments to safely complete objectives
  • Ability to work independently
  • Serves as the focal point for the coordination of receipt and delivery of all chemicals used throughout the facility, including samples
  • Maintain shelf life and batch control for chemicals, keeping accurate inventory levels and performing routine cycle counts
  • Count and safeguard all chemicals entering the plant and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Assure proper labeling, handling, and storage of all chemicals used in the area; assure proper labeling and accumulation of hazardous waste, adhere to all safety requirements
  • Receive in material and label accordingly
  • Help release purchase requistions and work with Buyers to ensure healthy stock levels

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years experience in warehousing and inventory control.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows applications) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control required.
  • MRP Experience preferred.
  • Exeperience with chemical and proper handling preferred.
  • Experience with waste water treatment a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Knowledge of DOT requirements regarding the receipt and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Knowledge of chemicals, use of MSDS/SDS in a high volume manufacturing operation
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of warehousing, including receiving, housekeeping, computerized inventory, location management, shipping, safety, problem resolution, and purchasing interface.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in material handling.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Knowledge of computers and other office machines.
