Arthrex Inc. is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to join our AV Technologies team. In this role, you will ensure the seamless operation, support, and optimization of Studio X’s core software applications by bridging technical expertise with business process understanding, enabling efficient, reliable, and scalable workflows across post-production, production, and content management teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Serve as the primary technical support resource for Studio X’s core software applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications specific to Studio X, and operating systems (Mac and Windows).
    • Respond to technical inquiries and provide guidance on the use of technology systems.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades:
    • Perform regular maintenance on technology systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
    • Implement system upgrades and updates to keep technology current and secure.
    • Support software deployment, updates, and license management across the Studio X environment.
    • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for optimization or automation.
    • Optimize system configurations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and technical support incidents.
    • Prepare reports on system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software tools align with business needs and creative workflows.
    • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
    • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for escalations, updates, and system integrations.
    • Training and Development:
    • Train users on the proper use of technology systems and best practices.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills of the team.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure technology systems comply with security standards and regulations.
    • Implement security measures to protect data and systems from threats.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or a related field):
    • Information Technology
    • Media Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Digital Media Production
    • Systems Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical support or operations role, preferably in a media or post-production environment.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Proven hands-on experience with:
  • Iconik (or similar media asset management systems)
  • Adobe Premiere Pro (or other NLEs)
  • LucidLink (or cloud-based file systems)
  • ToolsonAir
  • Mac OS and Windows OS environments
  • Experience supporting creative teams and understanding the unique needs of post-production workflows.
  • Familiarity with file formats, media codecs, and collaborative editing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Experience working with video cameras, lighting and audio equipment for professional production environments. Intermediate-advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac operation systems.  Intermediate-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  Previous experience working with a support ticketing system.
