**This position is headquartered in Naples, Florida and will support our Canada Region**

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct the Canadian market S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) monthly process.
  • Regularly review forecasting parameters of the planning system to identify products with highest deviations, make the necessary changes in planning, and improve accuracy.
  • Facilitate the dialog with market teams, providing tools for sales forecast integration to ensure monthly demand data is aligned with customer expectations. Coordinates all conference calls and strategic communications with assigned region.
  • Present demand analysis and incorporate input from regional sales and product teams to support consensus decisions. Responsible for facilitating discussions and stimulating cross-functional engagement in the process to improve accuracy in the demand forecast.
  • Strategic partner in major commercial events, such as new business development, product launch, and product set up, promotions of slow-moving products, short shelf life, and/or obsolete; ensuring information is consistently incorporated to the planning process.  
  • Work closely with the product team to keep Phase in, Phase Out updated and minimize obsolescence and destruction.
  • Plan and maintain control of inventory levels in order to anticipate possible supply problems and ensure product availability in the different markets. Signal and escalate problems of unavailability of materials in order to minimize impacts on sales and customers.
  • Plan, design and request corrective actions if necessary to ensure financial levels of inventory and write-offs according to budget and P&L.
  • Develop, monitor, and present monthly performance KPIs for the operation, such as but not limited to forecast accuracy, product availability, write off, inventory levels, days on hand, and backorder.  Use metrics to recommend actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the Global Supply Chain to keep priorities aligned and information flowing in both directions.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the FLS and Commercial areas, to contribute to the smooth development of activities as well as to the improvement of processes.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain or S&OP preferred
  • Experience in Demand Planning within the Medical Device or similar industry is a plus

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Analytical capability: Ability to make correlations and perceive trends based on raw data.  Able to work on statistical models, forecasting projections, and inventory analysis (on hand, consumption, and transit). Ability to translate volume of surgeries and correlate to demand of materials and SKUs.
  • Consultative skills: Excellent listening skills, the ability to facilitate dialogue and gather data from multiple sources and reach consensus.
  • Customer-centric Problem Solver: Identify potential problems and points of friction and work collaboratively with other functions to remove barriers and/or find solutions that maximize operations efficiency and revenues.
  • Continuous Improvement Focus: Process-oriented with the ability to understand inter-relationships and the various functions in the organization. Foster a culture of acting upon ideas to improve processes, quality, and/or customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Project/Time Management: Proven ability to establish priorities and work on multiple projects or objectives while delivering upon commitments and timelines.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power BI.

Proficient in SAP ECC APO application is a plus

Desirable statistical software knowledge

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
