Title: Facilities Coordinator

 

 

 

 

 

 

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education. Our Facilities team is actively searching for a Facilities Coordinator. This position will be responsible for coordinating activities within the maintenance department as specified. In doing so, the coordinator will assume responsibility for the areas or groups assigned. The crew coordinator will possess technical knowledge of specific trades or exceptional leadership skills in addition to effective communication and mentoring skills.  This position will focus on HVAC functions. The schedule for the role will be Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the daily mentoring and training of employees with the purpose of developing their technical skills to maintain safe and standard work habits.
  • Notifies the Supervisor or Manager of any performance or safety issue as they arise.
  • Responsible for maintaining projects or programs as assigned.
  • Support programs, policies, and procedures in order to help the growth of Arthrex as a world class medical device manufacturer.
  • Performs work and assists in maintaining operations in compliance with applicable Arthrex policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assists in the development of maintenance and work schedules.
  • Monitors work order systems to assign work orders/tasks to various team members as appropriate..
  • Monitors the work of facilities staff and sub-contractors to ensure completion of work and safe operation.
  • Coordinates work with Sub-Contractors and with appropriate management.
  • Performs and often directs building/facilities repairs & maintenance duties as needed.
  • Actively trains and mentors new and existing technicians on new equipment and processes and works to promote a cohesive team atmosphere.
  • Drug Free Workplace Screening: Technicians that have job responsibilities in the Finishing building or technicians who have been designated as backup for the Finishing building are considered “safety sensitive.” Employees in safety sensitive positions will be subject to drug screening prior to and during employment at Arthrex. The company’s drug testing procedure is part of the Arthrex Employee Reference Guide. (ERG)

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of directly related experience required in the position’s objective or in managing/leading personnel in the areas or groups assigned.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in the required field.  Demonstrates leadership and skills to successfully lead a team of multi-disciplined/skilled employees.
  • Ability to anticipate implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible complications.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Demonstrated mastery of a maintenance discipline preferred.
