Arthrex is actively searching for an Associate Biomechanical Study Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of biomechanical research studies and grant-supported projects – from intake and review through execution, payments, compliance documentation, closeout, and reporting – while partnering with surgeons/HCPs, Product Management, Research Engineers, Compliance/Transparency Spend, Legal, Finance, and Customer Service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Study Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate and manage biomechanical investigator-initiated research studies from intake through closeout.
  • Supports review, planning of key activities, and consultant engagement for Arthrex-sponsored studies.
  • Support study design discussion and review, application review, budget and study agreement development, product logistics, payments, and associated reviews and documentation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Compliance) and external collaborators (surgeons, research sites).
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication to ensure alignment on study goals and progress.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure study alignment with business and research goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop, implement, and refine workflows, tools, and systems to improve study operations, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Identify, lead, and support cross-functional process improvements, automation initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and fair market value guidelines.
  • Maintain audit readiness and support transparency reporting and documentation requirements.

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain accurate records across platforms (e.g., ORBIt, SAP, Salesforce, Workfront); track study metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze and report study performance, costs, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Team and Individual Development

  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to interns, junior team members, and peers.
  • Maintain a leading-edge understanding of research and applications in relation to assigned portfolio(s), including new exploratory studies and/or projects. Maintain and update records of work performed to contribute to team and personal metrics.

 

Education / Experience:           

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field required.
  • Understanding of orthopedics, biomechanical testing concepts, and/or anatomy required.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Proficient software skills: Word/ Excel/ Power Point.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of biomechanical testing principles.
  • Anatomy and physiology knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, organized and accurate in daily management of activities
  • Pronounced sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a team, with experience with cross-functional teams
  • High level of customer orientation

Business travel:

  • 5% (national & international).
