As the Sr. Manager – Technical Operations, you’ll be the crucial link between Operations, other business units, and vendors, ensuring projects are not only successful but also timely. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages staff and vendors responsible for operations technology, transforming data into information, information management of Arthrex Operations
- Maintain relationships with business units and service organizations to develop architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile and adaptable manner.
- Lead tactical technological planning and execution of strategic activities to achieve the company’s goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies ensuring alignment to business and technology future state architecture.
- Leads standards in delivery and communications to be used throughout the organization.
- Ensures technology best practices are applied to business processes and systems to optimize client operations.
- Executes communication plans to ensure teams, peers, and key stakeholders are aware and aligned with work stream priorities.
- Drives activities of teams to provide proactive process improvement for work stream operations to ensure continuous, high-level performance of people, processes, and technology systems.
- Support the business adoption of SLA’s and metrics to promote on time delivery for technology solutions and services.
- Responsible to lead teams evaluating feasibility of new systems and planning of upgrades.
- Establish standards for the implementation and maintenance of business process analysis, engineering capability, and technology application to the production process.
- Identify and lead efforts to define and execute the maintenance of life cycle and business value/risk analysis of current systems.
- Support operations through the evaluation and execution of operation applications, process improvements, engineering services and automation enhancements.
- The ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and departments to develop business, engineering and technology solutions that support Arthrex growth and business continuity.
- Benchmark current and future processes against industry best practices.
- Analyze current operational processes and capabilities and research future solutions.
- Accountable for buy-in and adoption of solutions by respective business departments.
- Lead, manage and develop assigned direct reports within the Technical Operations team.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex capabilities from its competition.
- Up to 15% travel required, to include international travel as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Master’s degree in business or engineering preferred.
- 8 years’ experience within a business function (-Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution. or Engineering) with business analysis or business process improvement activity required.
- Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of software solutions preferred.
- Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of industrial engineering solutions preferred.
- Previous position in Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrated project management acumen.
- Experience with and ability to work in cross-cultural business settings preferred, multi-lingual a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver enhanced business capabilities.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- In depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications. SAP preferred.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies, techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
- Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
- Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
- Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
