Arthrex is actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven Equine National Account Manager to join our growing Veterinary Division. This role is responsible for managing and expanding key equine accounts across the United States. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the equine industry, skilled in strategic account management, and motivated to drive growth through strong customer relationships and new business development.

 

Main Objective:

The Equine National Account Manager – Vet Systems, will manage Equine National Accounts within the United States on Arthrex’s Veterinary products, related science, and customer educational tools and strategies to increase their competency in consulting surgeons and customers. They will work directly with Vet Systems’ management team to monitor and track the prioritization of Veterinary products within each National Account, assist in developing sales strategies to increase awareness and consulting opportunities to grow to meet the annual product sales targets. The Equine National Account Manager will be responsible for the ongoing and growth of strategic business relationships between Arthrex Vet Systems and various numbers of national customers of varying sizes. They will be responsible for increased revenues and profits with existing and proposed customers. This position will identify, pursue, and onboard new business opportunities, target customers and develop proposals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to uncover and close opportunities with key accounts within the National Accounts group.
  • Provide feedback, industry knowledge, and specific recommendations to Arthrex Headquarters on programs, policies, products, emerging technologies, prices etc.
  • Build relationships with new Equine National Accounts.
  • Maintain strong equine customer relationships; seek new and increased business opportunities.
  • Act as the first and single point of customer contact for negotiation processes.
  • Gather information, analyze, and develop business strategies concerning dynamics that may affect the business relationship, such as changes in customer ownership or new affiliations, current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth, customers’ changing requirements, and competitors' strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Consult with customers to create profitable business strategies, taking into account such factors as customers’ vision and goals, current results by category/program and compliance with Arthrex Vet Systems programs and services.
  • Communicate procedural expertise, product understanding, and competitive market knowledge to sales and Veterinary product teams.
  • Provide updates on competitive products and procedures and input on strategies to combat competition.
  • Recommend ideas and promotions for increasing sales of new and existing products.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Finance Department on the formulation of regional/agency quotas.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet sales objectives.
  • Travel up to 50% annually to National Accounts and spend appropriate time in the Naples, FL office as suggested by the Director.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with Arthrex or other companies, with a focus on Equine Veterinary products, required.
  • 3 years of people management experience preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Willing to be hands-on with cadaver specimens.
  • Competent while working with various orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to, arthroscopy, CCL reconstruction, arthroplasty, etc.
  • Knowledgeable when working with different functions and effectively coordinating their activities to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate the customer's concerns or objections. In addition, must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building attributes.
