Arthrex Manufacturing, located in Ave Maria, FL. is actively seeking a Production Coordinator. The Production Coordinator supports and coordinates operations within assigned areas by leading production personnel to ensure production schedules, quality expectations, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role facilitates communication of priorities, monitors operational performance, supports documentation accuracy, and assists with resource coordination to maintain production flow. Third Shift - Monday-Friday, 9:00pm- 5:30am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following functions represent the core responsibilities of the role. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
1. Production Coordination
- Support workflow execution through coordination of materials, equipment readiness, and personnel activities.
- Monitor production status and communicate issues that may impact quality, delivery, or compliance.
2. Quality System Compliance
- Adhere to and promote compliance with applicable Quality System Requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal procedures.
- Ensure production documentation is completed accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner in accordance with documentation control requirements.
- Support material traceability throughout the manufacturing process, including verification of material identification, quantities, and usage.
- Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving quality-related issues in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with stated inspection criteria.
3. Documentation & Systems
- Support accurate execution and completion of production records, work orders, and system transactions.
- Utilize manufacturing and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, AMOS) to support production tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
4. Training
- Support onboarding, training, and on-the-job guidance to reinforce adherence to approved procedures and work instructions.
5. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency, quality, and process consistency
- Assist in identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, or risks and support implementation of corrective or preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational improvements aligned with organizational objectives.
6. Safety & Work Environment
- Promote compliance with safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Support maintenance of a safe, orderly, and compliant manufacturing or controlled environment.
- Identify and communicate potential safety risks, process deviations, or environmental concerns.
- Support daily, monthly, and semi-annual terminal cleaning activities in the cleanroom.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of manufacturing experience related to technical and mechanical aspect of manufacturing including operation of packaging equipment and/or 1 year experience in a previous position of leadership required. Experience supporting production coordination, documentation, or training activities is desirable
- Familiarity with quality systems, continuous improvement principles, or manufacturing systems (e.g., MS Office, Oracle, SAP, AMOS) is beneficial
- Train the trainer Certification preferred
- Lean Manufacturing preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production flow, and schedule execution
- Ability to monitor assigned production areas to support performance, quality, and adherence to established priorities
- Skill in communicating operational expectations related to safety, quality, and delivery to appropriate stakeholders
- Ability to support coordination of materials, components, equipment, and resources to maintain production continuity
- Understanding of controlled documentation practices, including review and support of production records, quality inspections, and reconciliation activities
- Ability to track and communicate changes impacting production activities in accordance with established procedures
- Proficiency in using manufacturing, enterprise, or tracking systems to support production coordination and issue resolution
- Ability to identify operational gaps or inefficiencies and assist with corrective actions or improvement initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across production, quality, engineering, and support teams
- Ability to provide guidance and support to employees to reinforce procedural adherence and operational consistency
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and professionalism in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
The role requires occasional operation and interaction with manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and inspection equipment used to support production activities, including but not limited to textile processing, winding, attachment, cutting, labeling, weighing, sealing, cleaning, and general testing equipment.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply logical thinking, gather relevant information, and assist in resolving operational or documentation issues in accordance with established procedures and objectives.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply basic mathematical principles as required to support production activities, documentation accuracy, and material reconciliation.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
