Arthrex Manufacturing, Ave Maria, FL, is actively seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the first shift. The Maintenance Supervisor will plan, direct and lead the execution of all daily activities related to the maintenance of equipment and facilities in support of the company’s production and growth objectives. The position will be directly involved in the planning and oversight of the facility’s Preventative/predictive maintenance program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements an effective preventive and predictive maintenance program and directs the scheduling and execution of activities.
- Utilizes production and engineering support in coordinating and prioritizing maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability in support of optimal production efficiency.
- Supervises the maintenance personnel for all shifts; Works with the maintenance Manger to insure all training needs are meet and we have the proper equipment needed to maintain the department.
- Supports the Maintenance Manager during planed infrastructure and capacity increases at new and existing facilities.
- Fosters a work environment that emphasizes the implementation of quality and safety practices.
- Responsible for monitoring, tracking and reducing equipment downtime.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in a related field preferred
- 4 years of equipment maintenance experience or other relevant technical experience required
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency with standard computer desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Experience with SAP software preferred
- Maintenance experience in an FDA-regulated environment (e.g., medical/pharmaceutical) preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Knowledge of manufacturing and building maintenance, mechanical principles and experience in supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- Candidate will be required to access and utilize manufacturing software for the development of various efficiency reports.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Previous experience with manual, NC and CNC controlled equipment.
Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
