Arthrex Human Resources team in SWFL is currently recruiting for a Leave Specialist III to support our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for administering all types of leaves of absence (LOA), including family and medical leave, paid parental leave, military leave, jury duty, bereavement leave, and both short term and long-term disability. The Leaves team partners closely with the company’s disability carriers to ensure employees receive accurate pay while on leave and to maintain consistent, compliant absence management aligned with company standards and industry best practices. This role operates in a high-volume environment, requiring a candidate with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Four years of Human Resources experience with two years in Leave Administration and a bachelor’s degree will be essential for the position. Experience in HRIS system preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advises employees and leadership on the interpretation of leave policies, programs, and procedures, including those in the company’s Employee Resource Guide (ERG).
Manage all aspects of the leave of absence process, including FMLA, parental, medical, bereavement, jury duty and personal leaves, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and company policies.
Educate leadership and employees on LOA policies & procedures ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws and meeting business requirements.
Responsible for maintenance of absence management system and processes.
Knowledge, Strong knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with employees regarding their need for leave and ensure employees know their rights and responsibilities, the required documentation and qualifications for leave.
Manages the leave administration process from initial notice to returning to work, include determining leave eligibility, designation of leave, requesting required documentation and tracking leave entitlement.
Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave and communicates status updates to their managers.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of four years of Human Resources experience required.
Two years of Absence Management related experience required.
CLMS certification is preferred.
Experience with absence management system and HRIS is a plus.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Strong understanding & application of Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD) and state disability pay.
General knowledge of accommodation laws including ADA & PWFA.
Full knowledge of Company HR policies.
Skills:
Excellent verbal, written, analytical, project, research, organizational and interpersonal skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Advanced proficiency of MS Office programs required.
Ability to learn new systems quickly to perform most job functions.

Advanced ability to analyze data and provide reasoning for improvements.
Ability to investigate and bring closure to more complex Leave requests.
Critical Thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Able to navigate through AbsenceSoft & SAP without guidance to perform job functions and possesses ability to assist junior personnel as needed.
Able to travel for business needs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to identify and provide solutions to problems and draw valid conclusions.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive medical and personal employee information and exercises good judgment and reasoning required.
Ability to handle situations during a crisis.
Ensures solutions are consistent with Company HR policies and leave regulations.
