Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for a Finishing Crew Coordinator to produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. machining processes and procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of manual finishing process including buffing, finishing, blasting, and polishing is preferred. This position will be for 2nd Shift (3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.) working 10-hour days/4 days per week on a rotating crew schedule: Monday through Thursday for two (2) weeks and then Wednesday through Saturday the next two (2) weeks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs Finishing Tech I, II and Sr. Finishing Tech duties as needed
- Oversees training progress in new hires and on current employees with new assignments
- Monitors production plan to achieve daily production schedules
- Encourages a continuous process improvement environment
- Ensure proper utilization of all resources
- Notifies Supervisor of any production, safety or performance issues as they arise
- Answer questions, instruct, demonstrate techniques on matters directly related to; machine operations, work methods, shop practices and safety
- Performs other duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor
- Recognizes and addresses issues with processing parts
- Must be highly organized, self motivated and a role model
- Assume responsibility for work accomplished on schedule and in accordance with job requirements
- Identifies morale issues and promptly notify Supervisor.
- Delegates responsibility and works with others to develop their capabilities
- Listens actively to people’s ideas and concerns
- Follow through production priorities and assign resources accordingly
- Support programs, policies, and procedures in order to help the growth of AMI as a world class medical device manufacturer
- Notify Maintenance Department through established system any equipment maintenance requirement
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills (Windows applications) preferred.
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
A thorough knowledge of manual finishing process including buffing, finishing, blasting and polishing. Proficient with QAD Job tracking systems. Advance blue print reading skills. Proficient with measuring equipment and instruments. Demonstrates housekeeping etiquette.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Thorough working knowledge of deburring/polishing and blasting equipment
Language Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
Physical Demands:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
