Main Objective:
Your role is to oversee the entire process of IT application implementations integrating with SAP in Japan. This includes understanding business requirements and systematically modeling, validating, and translating them into business requirement specifications for developers to design technical solutions. You will also manage projects related to SAP or those with a significant impact on SAP applications. As a Business Analyst, you should have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Effective collaboration with key internal stakeholders—including Operations teams in Japan and the APAC region, as well as Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, and Marketing teams—is essential to achieving sales and service objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Build a relationship between business stakeholders and the IT department relative to requirements, solutions and priorities
- Develop requirement documentation that will translate business needs into requirements that can be understood by the COE IT Team and/or by the solution development team
- Manage SAP or related projects as assigned by IT management to support Japan business needs
- Ensure that proposed systems features and requirements meet user needs and satisfy business objectives and initiatives
- May assist in creation and implementation of test plans that are mapped to documented requirements
- Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or presentations as required on regional related project
- Create training and system documentation, conduct training sessions as necessary
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others
- Performing business analysis and process improvement within assigned solution project
- Working very closely with various functions within the organizations, both regionally and globally
- Own, monitor and publish KPI & reports e.g. status report
- Some amount of travel may be required and other responsibilities as required

Experience/Education:
The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent knowledge and skills in:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Industry certification in business analysis, software systems, network or project management disciplines, preferred
- Eight years’ of relevant experience as a business analyst or similar roles, experience of healthcare market, especially in the area of Orthopaedic preferred
- Few years experience and proficient with core software applications, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Project)
- SAP experience is a MUST, OTC preferred
- Project Management experience is a must
- Some experience with design and implementation of technical environments using various technologies and languages
- Some experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as AGILE, preferred
- Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
