• 5 Questions with  Regulatory Affairs (RA) Manager, Alvin Bay 

 

How do you impact our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™ through your role?  

 

I am blessed with the unique opportunity of holding a dual role in serving the APAC RA function and leading the Southeast Asia (SEA) RA team. The regional visibility and the in-country experience mutually benefit each role I play and bring significant synergies in regulatory excellence and speed-to-market for Arthrex’s products. This enables the RA to function as a reliable business partner by paving the way for access of Arthrex’s products for surgeons to treat their patients better. 

What inspires you the most at Arthrex?

 

I am inspired by Arthrex’s growth throughout APAC. Seeing how my contributions positively impact the RA function and accelerate the growth of the organisation and the team gives me immense satisfaction. I am grateful for the confidence and trust from my superiors and team. 

What is your favorite success story at Arthrex? 

 

One of the highlights was the successful transition of the Arthrex Australia and New Zealand direct sales model in 2021 and learning that my work significantly contributed to it. 

How do you describe the Arthrex culture? 

 

The Arthrex culture is rich in diversity and very employee centric. My colleagues are passionate about their roles and purpose-driven with a goal of helping Arthrex succeed.

I have been blessed with a lot of opportunities to develop my career path at Arthrex. With the support of my colleagues and superiors, I have learned to be a better leader, planner, organiser, coordinator, listener and fellow Arthrex family member.
