About the role:

A “newly created” opportunity for an Operations Leader to join a rapidly expanding global medical devices organisation. In collaboration with the Head of Operations ANZ, this pivotal role will oversee daily operational functions across New Zealand, including our Loan Kits and Customer Service teams as well as 3PL vendor management. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement in operational performance and the end-to-end order-to-cash process, all while maintaining compliance with our Quality Management System.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads and supports Daily Operations of Customer Service, Loan Kits, Receiving, Inventory, Inspections and Returns
  • Appropriate management of cold chain biologics processes for inbound, outbound, ordering and inventory management
  • Provides strategic direction to Supply Chain, Distribution, and Customer Service operations. 
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing leadership to implement Supply Chain initiatives, especially in the area of New Product Launch and ensure Supply Chain and distribution operations drive commercial value as well as improved the company bottom line in regard to cost
  • Accountable for Finished Goods Inventory within Arthrex NZ, and challenge the markets on their inventory Obsolescence (Expired, Damage, Short-Dated and Slow Moving)
  • Own, monitor and publish performance metrics and reports
  • Contribute to the coordination, set up, implementation and adherence of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support ANZ Warehouse Manager to manage the 3PL partner for warehouse operations
  • Actively manage costs across operations in NZ
  • Being a business partner to the Country Lead and Commercial team to support achievement of Arthrex NZ revenue target for the given fiscal year end
  • Manages projects for warehouse that may involve software upgrades, equipment installation, facility relocations and/or expansions
  • Provides leadership, management, and development of the Operations Team member across NZ.

 

 

About the Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in technical fields or equivalent required
  • Experience of minimum 3 years in the medical device industry with strong expertise in reverse logistics
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Experience in interfacing with both internal and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
  • Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
  • SAP knowledge highly preferred
  • Able to analyse data and apply this commercially to drive better business outcomes
  • Advanced communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong hands-on operations, including strategic / tactical capabilities
