About the role:

This newly created role, due to growth, leads and develops an NZ-wide team of dedicated Arthroplasty sales representatives. Reporting to the NZ Country Lead, you’ll be accountable for achieving budgeted sales targets through effective coaching, strategic territory planning, disciplined CRM execution, and strong field leadership.

You will build and nurture a high‑performing, engaged, and sustainable sales team while driving growth across our Arthroplasty portfolio. The role partners closely with our other dedicated commercial teams, Marketing, Medical Education, Sales Operations, and senior leadership, as well as orthopaedic surgeons, hospital staff, and procurement stakeholders. Success requires strong influence, collaboration, and the ability to build trusted relationships.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of dedicated arthroplasty sales professionals across NZ to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Foster a high‑performance sales culture through regular field coaching, structured feedback, and clear performance expectations aligned with Arthrex values.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top sales talent, building long‑term capability and strong succession within the team.
  • Drive disciplined CRM usage, ensuring accurate pipeline management, forecasting, opportunity tracking, and reporting.
  • Coach sales team in strategic territory planning, account segmentation, and call planning to maximise growth and market penetration.
  • Maintain strong field presence, modelling best‑practice selling behaviours, surgeon engagement, and clinical support in theatre environments.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Medical Education, and Sales Operations to deliver successful Arthroplasty product launches, campaigns, and education initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance, identify risks and opportunities, and take corrective action to ensure targets are met.
  • Develop and execute territory and business plans aligned with national arthroplasty strategy and priority growth areas.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with orthopaedic shoulder surgeons, hospital teams, and key procurement stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with Arthrex policies, healthcare regulations, and ethical selling standards.
  • Contribute to the broader NZ sales leadership team by sharing insights, best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

 

 

About the Requirements:

  • An experienced Arthroplasty sales leader, with a strong track-record of performance success is highly preferred.
  • Proven capability in leading, coaching, and developing sales teams to deliver sustained commercial results.
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and territories.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Health or a related field is preferred.
