Medical Education Specialist and Lab Technician - New Zealand

This role will ideally suit those who have experience in Orthopaedic / Sports Medicine products or alternatively those who come from an Allied Healthcare professional background such as physiotherapists, scrub/scout nurses, podiatrists etc. Those with a passion for sports medicine, Arthroplasty and Trauma products and looking to help educate our customers on our products passionately will be the key to your success. This role will help to coordinate medical education events which requires attention to detail and event planning. You'll interact directly with Healthcare Professionals and Surgeons to assist them with their educational needs managed by Arthrex as well as providing them with relevant medical education material.
About the Role
In conjunction with our NZ Medical Education & Training Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the medical education program. You will implement educational and promotional training events and materials, supporting the product development process, and engaging surgeon consultants in the application of orthopedic/arthroscopic surgical solutions.
- Provides support for all Medical Education events such as lab courses, faculty forums and Medical Education corporate events.
- Educate on the safe and effective use of Arthrex products and procedure-specific surgical and non-surgical techniques using Arthrex instruments with a strong focus on leading the Rep and Nurse education programmes.
- Teach general orthopaedic and medical condition topics including current and classic concepts of patho-anatomy, biomechanics and pathology classification related to Arthrex products and procedures.
- Be responsible for Lab set up, breakdown and stock management.
- Raise appropriate purchase requisitions for orders on SAP and work with finance to ensure payment is made in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for handling documentation in a compliant manner with applicable regulations.
About the Requirements
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification preferred
- Training in project management or administratively complex duties
- Clinical/medical industry experience preferred
- Proven track record of successful event management or organizational skills in a medical field
