About the role:
As our Associate Manager Finance, you will be the key partner for our Commercial, Corporate Accounts, Marketing, Medical Education, and G&A teams in New Zealand. You will work closely with stakeholders to drive data-led decisions and implement initiatives that support business growth. This role is central to the success of our NZ operations, with primary responsibility for managing the budget and forecasting processes that underpin our business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pricing and Rebates
- Manage monthly rebate accruals and ensure financial accuracy
- Oversee pricing lifecycle in SAP, including data governance and compliance
- Support pricing strategies with analysis of profitability and P&L impact
- Evaluate discount proposals and provide insights for informed decisions
Budget and Forecast
- Lead NZ budget and forecasting process, including preparation and review
- Ensure alignment with FP&A timelines and deliver executive-level presentations
Marketing
- Partner with Marketing to assess programs and conduct ROI analysis
- Support new product launches with strategic, data-driven insights
- Collaborate to improve margins and profitability across product categories
Other
- Support OPEX management and execute month-end close accurately
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain strong internal controls
- Contribute to strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives
About the Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Experience with Cognos, TM1and/or business analytics preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Office required with advanced MS Excel modelling skills.
- Advanced skills in Power BI required with strong capabilities in creating reports and providing insights.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialised Courses and/or Training:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Skilled at prioritizing multiple projects and meeting daily requirements
- Proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions to achieve goals
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Highly organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to build positive relationships, especially with commercial stakeholders
