Primary Objective: Serve as a strategic finance partner to the commercial team, delivering financial analysis, and actionable insights to support sales growth and market strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Savvy in uncovering sales opportunities and driving revenue generation and process optimization through data-driven decision-making.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Business Support

  • Partner with commercial leadership in developing the 3-year operating plan and aligning financial goals with business strategies.
  • Contribute to S&OP forums, forecast reviews, and long-term planning initiatives.
  • Support joint business planning and scenario modeling for market access strategies and assist in pricing analytics.

 

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Lead financial feasibility studies and investment analyses for new products, contracts, and customer portfolios.
  • Evaluate profitability, ROI, and financial risk across commercial initiatives including new customers, customer portfolio expansions, new product lines, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement events.
  • Analyze revenue, margin, and cost trends to identify growth and optimization opportunities.

 

Commercial Enablement & Negotiation Support

  • Collaborate on commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and incentive programs (rebates, bundling, discounts, sales commissions).
  • Support financial negotiations with hospitals, insurers, and distributors, and custom deal structures, including public tenders and account payment resolution.
  • Articulate the financial value of the Arthrex portfolio to stakeholders.

 

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reporting packages, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
  • Track strategic KPIs (sales volume, gross margin, net profit, average ticket) and analyze variances vs. budget.
  • Perform routine and ad-hoc financial and sales data analysis by customer, channel, product and territory.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with commercial leadership to assess results, generate insights and define improvement plans.

 

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Recommend improvements to financial processes impacting customer experience (e.g., payment terms, invoice agility).
  • Analyze and enhance the OTC (Order to Cash) process to improve conversion rates.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, insurers, distributors).
  • Lead cross-functional routines to monitor project status and update business opportunity pipelines.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration across multifunctional teams.

People Management (if applicable)

  • Recruit, develop and motivate team members under functional supervision.
  • Conduct performance reviews, manage work schedules, and support professional growth through coaching and training.
  • Promote leadership development within the finance team.

 

Travel

  • It is anticipated that this position will require up to 40% travel.
