We are currently looking for support for our Research Department in Munich-Freiham. As part of Arthrex’s global Research Operations team, the Research Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence across all verticals of the research department. This position focuses on project management, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination—ensuring that departmental goals translate into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. While the role operates within a scientific environment, it is not a research or laboratory position; instead, it emphasizes corporate-level project leadership and coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive global collaboration and standardization of research practices
- Act as primary interface between scientific teams, technology operations, and adjacent business functions
- Coordinate complex research projects and cross-functional initiatives with a high level of autonomy
- Develop and manage tools, templates, and databases for resource planning, budgeting, and tracking
- Oversee departmental communications, including presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates
- Organize and moderate global research meetings, conferences, and strategic events
- Prepare and present operational reports and summaries for internal and external audiences
- Generate and interpret performance metrics to support strategic planning and compliance
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the development of team capabilities
- Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for complex operational issues
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in business, science, or a health-related field
- Multiple years of experience in program coordination, research operations, or related business functions
- Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration and process optimization in complex or regulated environments
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database tools
- Professional and customer-oriented approach in communication with global stakeholders
- Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Experience in supporting scientific teams or research programs is an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (maximum 5%)
- Fluent in German and English language
