About the Role

Working in conjunction with the Manager – Lab Operations & Representative Education, you will oversee and control all processes and tasks related to ArthroLab Australia and Medical Education events and support the Medical Education team with corporate events.

This role will ideally suit candidates with demonstrated interest in human anatomy and surgical procedures and involves:

  • Conducting regular inspection of all Medical Education capital equipment.
  • Performing setup, breakdown, maintenance, and disinfection of laboratory equipment and facilities, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness across both in‑house and off‑site lab environments.
  • Assisting the Manager – Lab Operations & Rep Education with SAP orders, tracking, and follow‑up.
  • Supporting the creation and management of end‑to‑end orders, repairs, and inventory maintenance.
  • Assisting in purchasing supplies required for daily operations of the department and off‑site labs.
  • Working with the Manager to forecast supply, implant, and disposable usage in line with the Medical Education schedule.
  • Supporting lab inventory accuracy, including ordering, replacement of missing or damaged items, onboarding of new products, and disposal of obsolete components.
  • Coordinating forecasting, procurement, documentation, tracking, and compliant disposal of cadaveric specimens.
  • Maintaining full understanding and correct implementation of contamination and biohazard protocols.
  • Disposing of human tissues and medical samples in accordance with all applicable local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory controls for human tissue management and radiation‑related equipment.
  • Following all blood‑borne pathogen and related safety procedures.
  • Maintaining lab and storage facilities in a clean, safe, and organised condition that reflects Arthrex’s standards of excellence.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the Arthrex product portfolio.
  • Supporting local Medical Education events, including setup, coordination, and breakdown of off‑site labs and exhibits as required.
  • Providing administrative support for ArthroLab and broader team as required.

 

About the Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma, or other post‑secondary qualification in health, biomedical sciences, or related discipline preferred or 2+ years of lab or clinical support experience.
  • Experience in the orthopaedic industry desirable
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time to support off‑site events when necessary.
  • Work some weekends as required to support Medical Education events.
