Main Objective:


The Senior Business Analyst works directly with business departments supporting the Customer Support business process.  They will identify, define, and document business processes and software requirements to be developed as software. They serve as a liaison between Business and IT teams by facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with stated and unstated business needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Lead process improvements and IT projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration with business for documentation of As-Is and To-Be Processes.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  • Proactively propose improvements to business.
  • Manage projects with cross functional teams and of global scope.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and test cases.
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, train, and deploy solutions.
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define/execute test cases.
  • Document current processes and models to understand potential improvement.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Adhere to the Quality System and Change Control Procedures.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant business analyst work experience required.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM Analytics and Salesforce Service Cloud a plus.
  • Strong background in business process analysis, requirements, and design, as well as data modeling and detailed functional design.
  • Proven ability to handle many diverse projects at once and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to meet responsibilities with minimal direct supervision.
  • Accountable team player with a constructive attitude, problem-solving and customer service mindset.
  • Excellent team player and able to work with virtual cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Experience with the Salesforce product suite: Sales and/or Service Clouds.
  • Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Strong familiarity with agile and waterfall SDLC processes.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:


PC servers, workstations, and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP, and partner software applications.
