The supervisor will work with the manufacturing personnel of high-definition video medical device systems to meet customer demands. Manage and direct all production line personnel including CCU, Shaver and Cameras. Provide the guidance to the assembly team to efficiently produce high quality cameras while meeting customer delivery schedules, yield targets and assembly cost objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily output of all work centers, while managing capacity constraints.
- Ensures that production goals are met consistently, daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Manages the flow of material through the line, balancing work content and production requirements.
- Monitors process yields and addresses scrap issues real time.
- Works closely with Inventory Control, Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve all product non-conformances, process reworks and MRB issues.
- Gives assembly process and manufacturing input for new product introductions.
- Recommends proper staffing levels based on production needs.
- Trains employees to perform assembly operations to specifications and documents training records.
- Monitors employee performance through goal setting following the Arthrex ERG
- Delegates responsibility and works with others to develop their capabilities.
- Maintains attendance records, overtime, work schedules and implements company policies.
- Identifies and promptly manages performance and behavior issues.
- Reviews, counsels, evaluates, disciplines, hires, and discharges employees with the assistance of Human Resources and Operations Manager
- Writes performance evaluations and recommends merit increases.
- Ensures all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated and proactively monitors maintenance needs.
- Ensures all manufacturing materials are within proper date codes.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment at a senior level or in a lead role required.
- 3 years supervision experience required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of electronics assembly required. Strong communications skill required.
Must have first-hand knowledge and perform assembly operations with repeatability, confidence, and a high degree of accuracy, to train and direct assembly activities. Demonstrated process improvement skills. Ability to develop, motivate and coach direct reports. Previous team building skills required.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
MS Office Computer skills required; SAP desired. Familiar with Microscope use, various light duty machines and hand tools.
