This is a Night Shift Position. The Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-6am.
This Position Includes:
- Shift Differential
- $2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings), You will be paid the first $1,000.00 after completion of 90 days and the remaining $1,000.00 after completion of 180 days, as an employee in good standing.
Main Objective:
Provide support for both the Warehouse and Pre-Packaging areas. Monitors throughput, workflow, and production needs. Helps ensures that objectives and goals are being met daily. Gives support to staff members in the following areas: prioritizing work, communication, employee relations, and problem solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that objectives and goals are being met daily.
- Acts as a liaison and a point of contact throughout Pre-Packaging and the Warehouse.
- Verifies that clerks are following work instructions and internal processes.
- Advise management to areas of difficulty or bottlenecks and training needs.
- Immediately advises to the Supervisor or Manager of employee issues needing attention in a timely manner.
- Ensures that priorities are aligned with Planning and Production requests and with the S&R Supervisors objectives.
- Supports implementation of action items generated by Quality or from within the department.
- Coordinates that the cleanliness of the department is kept up to standards at all times.
- Performs general department duties as needed/dictated by staffing constraints or production volume.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of shipping procedures, recordkeeping, invoicing, and logic skills.
Specialized Courses and/or Training:
General Warehousing, inventory control, cycle counting.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
General material handling equipment. Computer literate.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
