This position is eligible for a sign-on bonusIf you are hired after May 17th, 2021, you will be eligible for a $750.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings) paid after you complete your first 90 days and are an employee in good standing.         


Main Objective:

Ensure that tool crib has the tools and supplies needed in the CNC shop.

Receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment and supplies stored in the Tool Crib Area.

Issues cutting tools, fixtures, machine hardware and supplies to workers, maintains accurate records of every transaction, including issued and returned items, manually and or using computer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Tool crib contents
  • Prepare and issue tooling for upcoming jobs according to schedule (kitting of work orders)
  • Assist Manufacturing supervisor in other assignments as needed
  • Request Purchases orders on all supplies in the most cost-effective manner possible and in a timely manner.
  • Plans ahead based on information provided
  • Locates misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepares periodic inventory and maintains perpetual inventory of all tools and equipment, manually and or using computer.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or wear to supervisors
  • Deliver tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck
  • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment,
  • May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
  • Maintains Tool dispensing system, or Matrix toolbox.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/ Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Full working knowledge of machine shop environment and tooling needs.  Demonstrates good organization skills and attention to detail. Demonstrates housekeeping etiquette. Basic Microsoft office knowledge and safety oriented.


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 


Language Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
