Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for a Cleaning Tech to produce quality medical instruments in accordance with Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. procedures in a safe and effective manner in order to exceed the customers' needs. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and fine motor skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. If hired after 2/1/2022, you will be eligible for a $1,000.00 retention bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the first $500.00 after completing your first 90 days and the second $500.00 after completing your first 180 days, if you are an employee in good standing. New opportunities are available as the manufacturing team is growing in Pendleton, SC.

 

Main Objective:

To assist the Cleaning Leads and Manufacturing Supervisors with department objectives, applying knowledge of production scheduling, assigning tasks, parts specifications and priorities of production while maintaining a positive and respectful work atmosphere.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs Cleaning Tech I, II and Senior Cleaning Tech duties as needed

· Responsible for executing department priorities as determined by the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor

· Assists the Lead Manufacturing Supervisor in assigning and communicating departmental and production goals to cleaning personnel as required

· Follows through on production priorities and assigns resources accordingly

· Coordinates and assists in equipment validation activities, as required

· Assists the shift supervisor with monitoring and assigning of employee break/lunch periods

· Maintains and updates the shift communication board as required

· Promotes a safe work environment in all Cleaning Department work areas including the use of PPE when required

· Assures personnel perform proper line clearance and documentation of inspection activities

· Assures employees are trained on all procedures and all required skills in the cleaning department

· Conducts training on new and/or updated work instructions

· Assures personnel follow proper Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Good Document Practices (GDP)

· Assures that work stations have materials needed to clean and package products in a timely manner in order to have continuous production flow

· Assures proper utilization of operators based on volume/priorities at each work station

· Notifies Lead/Mfg. Supervisor of any production, safety or performance issues as they arise

· Monitors production schedule to assure priorities are met

· Completes daily production report (or assign duties)

· Assures open communication with other departments (QC, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving)

· Assigns and assists in daily housekeeping activities

· Have strong/proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times

· Continue to strive towards self-development as well as departmental

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Strong computer skills (Windows applications) preferred

· Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills preferred

· Minimum 6 months experience as Sr. Cleaning Tech preferred

· Train-the-Trainer Certification, or equivalent

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to conduct training regarding existing procedures, new procedures and new product introduction. Must possess the ability to execute production planning and meet manpower requirements to ensure that work orders are processed according to customer needs and departmental priorities.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Comprehension is required to perform the following operations / tasks; Crest COC9 Passivation, CREST, DURR and RAMCO Ultrasonic parts washers and the occasional operation of the specific equipment as trained and assigned.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required, as necessary.

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required in order to promote successful outcomes. Must be able to effectively communicate ideas and/or issues to personnel and management (both verbal and written). The ability to record data and information as procedure requires.

 

Physical Demands:

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Vision Requirements:

Visual acuity necessary perform safely and effectively.
