With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Sustaining and Development Supplier Quality Team, is responsible for qualifying and maintaining all vendors that impact the Arthrex QMS, we support vendors to all sites, globally. We are searching for a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern pursuing an Engineering degree to support the S & D Supplier Quality Teams at Arthrex One. The successful candidate will prepare, execute and document vendor qualification activities, support SQE in projects, assess changes proposed by vendors, and modify records internally within the Arthrex QMS. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.

 

This internship will run from May 2023 – August 2023. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Retrieval of Vendor ISO Certificates.
  • Supplier Final Cleaning Project update.
  • Execute of Disqualifying Suppliers we no longer do business with.
  • Audit Metrics Management an Generation.
  • Update Vendor Master.
  • Software Validation Execution.
  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

 


Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Biomedical or Mechnical Engineering. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to understand drawings and business processes.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
