The Market Access and Reimbursement team is based in Naples, Florida and supports all of our vertical product teams including our Orthobiologics team and its innovative products. The individual selected for this position will successfully engage third party payers, specialty pharmacies and large direct purchasers to improve provider and patient access to select innovative products. Bachelor’s Degree is required, and a Master’s Degree is preferred. Extensive payer and provider advocacy and engagement skills are required.


Main Objective:

The Sr. Manager – National Accounts & Managed Markets will be for managing, monitoring, and engaging third party payers, specialty pharmacies and large direct purchasers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and form partnerships with Managed Markets payers, Institutional Medical Purchasers and other providers while being mindful of short-term and long-term financial impact to remain consistent with company goals and revenue objectives
  • Develop new and existing relationships with third party payers to ensure product access as well as monitor and analyze payer-specific policy and impact
  • Communicate plan parameter changes with plan medical directors and pharmacy directors and/or executives to represent the company’s position regarding such potential changes in Managed Markets contracts to ensure consistency with company initiatives
  • Manage issues with all payers appropriately with internal and external contacts to ensure successful payer relationships ensuring revenue generation and patient access through the buy and bill process
  • Coordinate with reimbursement and patient access hub, ensuring accountability in hub operations and fluidity of appropriate information  
  • Help align both manufacturer’s internal leadership team and external customers pertaining to pricing, rebates and reimbursement rates
  • Provide informative presentations to various internal and external audiences
  • Travel up to 50% of the time


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of healthcare work experience in reimbursement for a medical technology/device company, health care consulting firm, insurance company, healthcare delivery system, government healthcare agency, or medical society.  
  • Experience in orthopedics is a plus.


Knowledge and Skills Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement mechanisms (CMS IPPS/OPPS, third-party payer coverage, clinical and procedural coding) and regulations related to medical technology products including injectable drugs and orthobiologics products
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Private (Health Plans/Employers) and/or public payers (Medicare) in policy, market access and reimbursement issues
  • Knowledge of the various payment methodologies, CPT, ICD-10-CMS, ICD-10-PCS, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with high degree of organization-prioritization skill and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products with an emphasis on Power Point, Excel, Word with the ability to learn the applicable software as needed
  • Able to work independently, cross functionally and as part of a team to problem solve and seek advice when necessary preforming work with limited oversight and supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, Health Policy specialized databases, research tools and internet research tools.
