Arthrex, Inc is actively recruiting for a Security Officer to work in our Security Operations Center at our campus in Naples, FL.  The Security Officer will work to preserve the safety and security of employees, visitors, and property per company policies and applicable laws. They will monitor activity on all Arthrex’ s campuses.  Excellent communication skills, experience in security and computer experience will be essential for this position. If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the $2,000.00 during your first pay period.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vigilance and manage authorized and unauthorized access to Arthrex facilities.
  • Respond to emergencies such as medical, fire, theft, trespassing, and acts of violence.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor facilities by electronic means.
  • Liaison between outside emergency personnel and internal Corporate Security team
  • Provide assistance to contractors/visitors while ensuring adherence to all site policies and procedures.
  • Identify and verify contractors/visitors information via system and/or badge access to ensure compliance to policies and security to Arthrex facilities
  • Ability to share knowledge and train others when needed.
  • Serve as central communications for the Corporate Security Services Department.
  • Monitor global events and assess/communicate impact to Arthrex.
  • Receive call for help/assistance from employees globally and respond appropriately.
  • Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after-action reporting.
  • Monitor health of all Corporate Security platforms and applications.
  • Monitor access control and video surveillance systems for alarms, suspicious activity, and respond accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other business partners to meet operational needs of the business.

 

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 or more years of experience in a related security field required.
  • Complete MOAB training during 1st year of employment.
  • Licenses: Florida D, G and CCW permit are preferred and will be required within 180 days of employment.
  • Pass psychological evaluation qualification.

 

Skills:

  • Strong problem solving, communication abilities required.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, goal-oriented team environment required.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
  • Ability to communicate issues and problem solve effectively with team members, employees, customers and contractors.
  • Working knowledge of law enforcement/military principles or 4 years of similar/transferable experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Experience with card access, video surveillance systems, alarm monitoring required.

 

Knowledge:

Limited use and/or application of basic processes, practices, and concepts. Limited knowledge of standards and procedures.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures. Follows chain-of-command.

 

Discretion/ Latitude:

Work is closely supervised by fellow officers. Follows specific, detailed instructions.
