With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The safety and efficacy of our medical devices is heavily dependent on the efforts and timely execution of the Arthrex Orthopedic Research Department. The Research Operations team is seeking an intern to assist with the operations and support the scientific excellence of the department. The successful candidate will be closely involved in the support of research projects and critical initiatives, including but not limited to, research contract management, communication initiatives, scientific updates and technical documents, and all research-related processes.


This internship will run from May 2022 – August 2022. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.


Main Objective:

To provide selected student with the opportunity to be exposed to various aspects of research core activities. Within Research Operations, the intern will be tasked with supporting scientific updates, research request processes, communication efforts, and contract management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the validity of external-facing, research-related documentation                                                     
  • Support the contract management strategy and new platform implementation
  • Legacy contracts strategy
  • Support Biomechanical Operations tasks – including work instructions and payments
  • Communication efforts – keeping department and stakeholders informed and updated through various channels
  • Support market research for relevant projects
  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Healthcare, Business or Engineering. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
