Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. The Biologics Engineering department is actively recruiting for a Research Coordinator to work at our Naples, FL campus. This opportunity will be coordinating activities that support research and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have five years of relevant admin experience along with strong communication, organizational and computer skills. Excel experience will be essential for this position. Previous experience in a laboratory or medical setting strongly preferred. If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the $2,000.00 during your first pay period.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track inventory to maintain stock of lab supplies, including monitoring expiration dates.
  • Place and track vendor orders and update Approved Supplier List as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate external and internal sterilization orders.
  • Place product orders from inventory.
  • Monitor calibration due dates and preventative maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Facilitate the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions and update current documents per the Quality Management System.
  • Assist in submitting eMOCs for implementation of new equipment.
  • Oversee delivery and installation of new equipment.
  • Financially reconcile costs and services related to the Orthobiologics Team.
  • Generate purchase requisitions.
  • Create and maintain financial metrics.
  • Create organized structure for commencing research studies and organize current files.
  • Be knowledgeable about Arthrex products and surgical techniques, including actively learning about new products and developments.
  • Manage priorities and deliverables for multiple simultaneous projects per determined schedule and respond to special assigned projects as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, vendors, stakeholders and other departmental personnel using appropriate terminology.
  • Up to 10% travel. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant admin experience required.
  • Experienced in record keeping using excel or similar programs required.
  • Previous work in laboratory or medical setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with orthopedics is advantageous.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Good communication, documentation, and record keeping skills are required.  Good organization, deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills are a plus.  A basic ability to think ahead is beneficial.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Experience in Microsoft Office is required

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
