Post-Production Supervisor

Main Objective:

Supervise post-production staff to produce high-quality video content for Medical Education, Product Management, Marketing, and other departments within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain clarity of information and good channels of communication between producers, videographers, editors, and project requestors
• Review and test assets created by all Media Production team members for quality with a focus on detail and consistency

  • Medical accuracy
• Ensure all editors are following proper procedures
  • Update project statuses in various business applications
  • Organize media and projects according to SOPs
• Develop written standards, guidelines, and workflows for post-production processes
• Provide training for video editors on media production tools and best practices
• Interview and hire post-production staff
• Manage, mentor, train staff, provide performance reviews, appraise performance and resolve conflict
• Set goals and objectives for team members and act as a visionary and coach
• Meet regularly with the project stakeholders and the marketing project coordinators to ensure all projects stay on track and meet assigned deadlines
• Edit, color grade, and encode select projects
• Gather and analyze data and metrics to quantify success and make informed decisions
• Participate in planning meetings for media productions

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 5 years of related experience required
• Experience supervising direct reports preferred
• 3 years of experience working in Adobe CC required
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is preferred but not required
• Must be flexible and possess the ability to balance the management of multiple projects simultaneously
   
  Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Ability to work well with a variety of team members to represent the design viewpoint effectively in a collaborative work environment
• Researches and remains current on the developments and applications of post-production software and technology
• Communicates effectively with individuals and groups
• Meets deadlines and manages multiple priorities for a high-volume of projects
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
• Initiative, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Team player and willingness to collaborate
