Main Objective:

The Arthrex Medical Center- Practice Manager will be responsible for the management of a multi-location Family Practice. Specific duties include oversight and management of the 3 private Arthrex corporate occupational health clinics including schedules, managing employees, inventory control and other business related to managing medical practices. In addition, this role will oversee and manage the Arthrex Medical Center Wellness Program that is designed and committed to the health and wellness of the Arthrex employees and their families. Strong background in clinical medicine as well as prior experience evaluating and analyzing financial data as it relates to the expenditure of health care dollars at Arthrex is expected.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Performs complex administrative and office related activities requiring considerable judgment, high degree of initiative, and independent actions involving decision making that is essential in the role as clinic practice manager.
  2. Reviews, prioritizes, tracks and distributes incoming and outgoing messages and actions, including electronic communications.
  3. Coordinates multiple calendars and complex schedules.
  4. Maintains complete oversight and management of AMC Wellness Program. Support and encourage all corporate health initiatives in addition to promoting an atmosphere of proactive health and wellness.
  5. Supervises Clinic Support Staff, and works co-operatively with medical director to assist and manage the providers (PA/ARNP).
  6. Maintains and delegates management and oversight of all medical licenses, practice licenses and all regulatory permits/licensure to maintain and ensure compliance to operate a clinic practice.
  7. Assures that patient rights to privacy and confidentiality are strictly maintained including HIPPA policy accuracy and routine quarterly training of staff to ensure all employees are trained on HIPPA.
  8. Oversee and approves all purchases from outside vendors for Arthrex Medical Center.
  9. Implements organization process and procedures for the clinic system including inventory control and budgets for ongoing clinic operations.
  10. Manages and implements all corporate wellness programs and initiatives.
  11. Manages the occupation health program in conjunction with the Risk Management departments and the third party administrator.  This will include: any primary care for work related injuries, drug testing, and return to work program. 
  12. This position will be instrumental in the development of any pre-applicant heath screening programs including medical monitoring programs.


  13. Handles all hourly employee time cards and approves time off requests as needed.
  14. Analyzes financial data related to insurance expenditures and clinic operations.
  15. Travel up to 25% to satellite offices in Florida as well as out of state remote clinics.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years’ experience in medical practice management required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Background in wellness preferred
  • Clinical medicine background required (Paramedic, LPN, RN etc.)


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong knowledge of financial operations of a medical practice.
  • Experience with Wellness Programs and fitness initiatives for corporate clients
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff which includes effective communication, getting along with coworkers and management and dealing efficiently and professionally under pressure
  • Spanish speaking a plus



Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PCs, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook, plus any additional communications equipment as needed.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
