Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking an MRO Buyer. This person will need to be able to coordinate and perform activities for the Facilities Accounting and Corporate Housing Departments relating to Purchasing, Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) for both the Fort Myers and Naples Campus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare MRO purchase orders and intercompany material transfer orders through ERP system and place orders for the purchase of goods and services upon receipt of approved requisitions. 
  2. Review orders for completeness, accuracy and compliance with existing policies and procedures.
  3. Obtain vendor acknowledgement of purchase orders, review for any changes and communicate to stakeholders.
  4. Purchase MRO commodities in a timely manner.
  5. Perform goods receipts and ensure timely processing of invoices based on vendor terms and conditions. 
  6. Research and follow up on questionable invoices, packing slips and resolve any order discrepancies.
  7. Communicate with stakeholders to confirm receipt of materials/services and perform goods receipts in SAP.
  8. Organize, update, and retain purchase order records and supplier product information.
  9. Research procurement of goods/services and provide results to MRO group to assist in the decision-making process.
  10. Obtain and submit MSDS documentation for EH&S approval.
  11. Interpret and evaluate contract provisions.
  12. Obtain price quotes from vendors, evaluate specifications and availability of items.
  13. Assist with MMTL inventory across departments and update usage information in ERP system.
  14. Demonstrate a continual effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes across departments.
  15. Review and approve Vendor Managed Inventory and Office Supply purchases to align with business requirements.
  16. Utilize SAP reporting to analyze vendor performance, delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timing of material/service deliveries meet stakeholders’ requirements.
  17. Coordinates on-site supplier visits with internal departments.
  18. Assist departments with procedural tasks assigned, including cost savings, inventory control issues, supplier problem resolution, sourcing and other identified projects.
  19. Reconcile MRO group and Corporate Housing AMEX reports.
  20. Assist with purchasing, budgeting, and property expense tracking for the Corporate Housing department.
  21. Assist with daily and monthly Corporate Housing administrative tasks.
  22. Work in the Fort Myers and Naples Florida campus.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Purchasing / Bookkeeping Experience required


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Some SAP Experience preferred.
  • Excel / Microsoft Office Suite experience required
  • General Computer knowledge


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Knowledge of Phone, Fax, Scanner, and general office equipment


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.


Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
