Main Objective:

The Wellness Coordinator works under the direction of the Wellness Director to design,, implement and supervise a multi-site worksite wellness program including the development and implementation of strategic programs to prevent disease, manage chronic conditions and promote well-being. This position promotes health and well-being through a variety of strategic methods, including but not limited to individual consultations, health education classes, wellness challenges, seminars, biometric screenings, preventive health screenings, flu shot clinics and other wellness initiatives. This position is also responsible for developing and coordinating program incentives as they relate to the Arthrex Enhanced Benefit Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Research, develop and implement wellness initiatives and strategies to improve the health and well-being of employees using preventive means that provide measurable results. This includes activities such as live classes, webinars, specialty programs, health screenings, individual consultations, health challenges, etc.
  2. Analyze benefit/health data to develop activities based on employee needs and evaluate impact.
  3. Establish and manage program goals and budget.
  4. Develop relationships with internal and external partners, including the Arthrex Medical Clinics, in the appropriate deployment of resources and services to support wellness objectives.
  5.  Coordinate a comprehensive rewards program integrated into the Arthrex Enhanced Benefit Program, involving significant data review, to ensure incentives are earned, reported and applied correctly.
  6. Manage internal and external wellness web portals to ensure accuracy and provide portal customization to meet the needs of the Wellness Program.
  7. Manage and organize a high volume of clerical duties related to day-to-day operations of wellness programming.
  8. Establish and maintain a variety of reports, files and records, and prepare periodic and special reports from obtained data.
  9. Develop marketing material and promote wellness programs through a variety of communication channels to achieve program goals and objectives while creating excitement and interest.
  10. Prepare cost/benefit analysis for programs/events.
  11. Create and/or maintain databases for tracking clients enrolled in self-management programs; identify, monitor, and document key outcome and compliance data
  12. Educate and assist employees with chronic disease management and prevention, including diabetes and pre-diabetes, through appropriate evaluation and teaching methods. Plan and implement individualalized and group education for a diverse group of learners to achieve identified goals; develop teaching plans reflecting acceptable standards, monitor for compliance and attainment of goals intervening as needed.
  13. Demonstrate a professional and caring approach in all interactions and with all levels of the organization.
  14. Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of all documentation and employee interactions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years experience in coordinating health and wellness programming required
  • A proven tack record of improving health outcomes for a large population; experience in a corporate wellness setting preferred
  • CHES certification preferred


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Extensive knowledge in fitness, nutrition and wellness.

Ability to work well independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines

Must be creative, energetic, organized and detail-oriented

Strong organizational skills with ability to mutli-task

Ability to maintain confidentialy and exercise discretion

Effective communicator with great people skills
