With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Corporate Communications team at Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, FL is responsible for various communications and employee engagement campaigns. The team seeks a student intern, preferably in their senior year studying communications and/or journalism, to learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on employee communications and content creation. The selected intern should be a strong writer (excellent grammar and punctuation with knowledge of AP style), good communicator, tech savvy, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. 


This internship will run from May 2023 – August 2023. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.


Main Objective:

To learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on employee communications and content creation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support employee communications through content creation for newsletters, emails and eboards. 
  • Write articles and announcements for the global employee intranet to inform and engage.
  • Maintain events section on the employee intranet.
  • Support with scheduling and planning of various community engagement events.
  • Manage the employee event ticket distribution program.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks and duties for Corporate Communications Team.
  • This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.


Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations required. A college senior required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
